man i got tiny little ones all over the front of my hood too... i dont care too much cuz i got the VIS hood for $Free.99... i guess thats why i got it free.. you get what you pay for... but i recommend the DGMotorsports hood (either OEM style or the ram-air style) priced from $500 to $900 depending on where you get it thru... but the quality is great! i have seen them personally up close, because DGM is a few exits away from me in San Diego CA, and i am definitely saving up for one. not only that, DGM is a vendor on this page... check around for them.. theyre good peeps... i have the DGM carbon fiber grille and eyelids, and i am picking up an all carbon fiber version of the AutoExe front spoiler.. quality and style!

Im getting a fiber image cf hood do you think i can have a shop paint the cf hood + it has minor scratches, or has anyone painted their cf hood?

yeah they can paint it. a lotta dudes do that... it's similar to painting fiberglass...

that sucks bro, who ever you got it from should be able to get you an new one if they raise enough hell about it- chris

thats probably what i'll do, thanks for the input. Oh yea the cf hood is only $250 and im getting the paint done by a professional shop for free so it all works out.

You don't have to paint over actually. A competent body shop that has experience with fiberglass and or CF can sand the hood, then fill the bubbles with more resin. then sand smooth and clear coat it. My WingsWest hood had the same problem and WingsWest never responded to my emails or voicemail messages, so my bodyshop/paintshop went ahead and just fixed the problem. This is something that happens when the hoods aren't cured properly.

Haha, doesn't matter if VIS said they'd replace it or not. They'll never come and pick up your hood anyways.

Nah, don't worry about it. Already got the money back from credit card company. Just gotta hope VIS doesn't refute the charges or I will have to fight some more.

I've had 4 iON hoods so far, and they've all been of the best quality. I had 1 at first, but wrecked it when hit a deer last summer. Then, the next 2 replacements were damaged by the shipping company in transit, and the 4th one I have now showed up unscathed. All of those were awesome quality though.
