WTB S pipe that fits Gt2871r

Wow that was surprising. I thought for sure that the bolt pattern would be the same. Hmmm something seems fishy.

making a downpipe for it wouldd be alot cheaper than buying that other exhaust housing. on the other hand u could buy that housing w tthe .64 a/r and thatd be an upgrade to the housing it has now. then u culd keep your current aftermarket downpipe too

ask someone whos super-knowledgeable on the platform, and has probably seen this happen. someone like ken, 'dino, or sam.

FYI, on the garrett website it looks like their stock housing for the 2871R is the flipped bolt pattern, but the default one when purchased from ATP turbo is the regular GT 5 bolt. just to add to the confusion.

lol what the hell i dont even know now

it could be an alternate housing... try to figure out if its a 5 bolt t3/ford style discharge. if thats the case, you have one choice: custom!

if i were you, even if i bought the different housing, i couldn' see myself sleeping good at night running the restrictive stock s-pipe

no i wasent planning on running the stock spipe with the 2871r i got a spipe from corksport allready that i was gonnna use if it would fit other wise ya i would get a custom one

SO custom it is. I am glad this happened to you so that I know what to get from now on.

P.S.- lmk if you get rid of the CS dp ;-)

Ok so would .64 ar work though cuz this turbo is .42 m24 would that match up for .64? Or do I gotta order a special one for .42?

you can order a .64 or a .86 those numbers correspond to the internal housing size and how its designed. your get faster spool and less top end with the .64 and slower spool and more top end with the .86

gt28rs for example id say .64 is fully spooled in the lower to mid 3k's and a .86 is spooled at around 3900

i found out your problem.... that turbo is for a skyline rb series motor and they use different exhaust flanges

rb26 exhaust housing

standard gt 5 bolt exhaust housing that we use

as you can see they are different

Great there it is in pics, Now we just need the last part(bow)

Sounds like we can use the one off your old turbo(maybe). Or order the new part????

i was thinking just to order the new part .64 i think cuz i like some low end power

probably a good idea, since you would have to get your OEM housing bored out. the size of 2871 turbine is .9mm larger.
and i swore that the skylines used the GT flange. im glad i learned something -- ill have to research which ones use which flanges since i think they changed from time to time.
