my cruise control box shat itself and I need another one..... anyone ripped their cruise out of their 2.0l 3rd gen? If you have the sport auto, I can't use it... manual and normal auto OK, but it MUST be from a 2.0

I'll pay 20 bucks shipped for it

I've got mine sitting in the garage. I'm assuming all you need is the round canister and the cable that goes to the gas pedal?

I need the CONTROL MODULE, not actuator
it's the little control box that's inside the car near the ECU

Hmm...I'm sure I have it...probably still bolted in the car. I'm assuming its over by the passenger kickpanel? I'll look at my workshop manual tomorrow. I seem to remember something electronic bolted behind the trim down there.

did your cruise control still work before you took it out?

Yea. I removed it along with the A/C and radio just to get some weight off the car for AutoX. I didn't think about it having a control module. I'm at work right now (stupid night shift), but I should be able to remove it tomorrow and ship it on Monday if you still need it.

I took the module out today. Let me know when you send the payment so I can get your address and send it out.

I'll try and get you something, but I don't have a home computer right now and my work computer won't recognize anything plugged into the USB like my camera. If I can get my camera over to my friends house tomorrow I'll post it up for you.

No prob...I have the full factory service manual and this is what it calls the control module located under the passenger kickpanel. It's a clear plastic box with a metal bracket.

Pics of the module

Sorry for the delay. Still working on my "lack of a computer" problem.

yup, the part # is the same, date code is different... your s*** is newer obviously
swapped the original bracket on and the s*** works perfectly now... so yeah, my original piece of s*** is quite dead

Good to here. I'm glad I could help you out. I've consulted your FAQ so many times that I almost have it memorized.
