I am looking for one right now. I dont want to order one and then find out it is back ordered. Let me know.

Yes, Everyone is on back order. The rep from COBB said it will be another 6-8 weeks before they get it to them. I just talked to them on Thursday for the intakes I have on back order.

Cobb is really f*in up with this backorder. Way to drop the ball, especially when ur our MVP.

i don't agree with this i just think the want to get ti right the first time.and they dont want n-e of there products coming back with problem i mien it would suck if u buy one of there product then have to send it back because it messed up right plus cobb is more of a quality product then a quantity.

Tru but why release an awesome intake, sell it for a little while then stop production, i heard tthey are doing some tweaking but i still do not want to wait 6-8 weeks. I'm just impatient and always end up spending the money on other mods in the meantime.

they got kinda shafted because their original supplier for the MAF housings dropped the ball completely and started producing crappy units. since that, they're had to switch to another supplier and wait for them to ramp up...=/

This is getting pathetic already.

Im about to jump on the CP-E bandwagon. Why is it that nearly everything they have released for our cars have been subpar?

AP maps that still have yet to prove their worth
SRI quality issues
rear swaybar is ok, but front clanks around
FMIC delays because of poor quality
2 revised STS shafts
springs have been ok

Lets see what they **** up next.

Im getting ticked, Ive been patient, but this is getting old. Another 6-8 weeks?! Wow.

SRI quality issues are with the supplier, and they've switch suppliers to remedy that. CP-E had the same issue with their MM's rubber bushing pouring...bad pours = when was the last time you saw a MM ship?

the FMIC does not have quality issues that i know of. i have one, and i have NO complaints about the quailty. the FSB has the same problems as the hotchkis have experienced. yes, someone dropped the ball with the STS, but from what i understand, there's a LOT of them (with the new working shaft) shipping soon.

I have their STS. Even though I like it, the upper portion has unwanted rotational slop.

What I read about the FMIC having issues... I thought your previous post was in regards to the FMIC... my mistake.

Cobb swaybars are made by Hotchkis, why doesnt Cobb find a better company who can produce a bar that doesnt clank around?

Regardless, why the hell is it taking Cobb another 6 to 8 weeks to get their FMIC out? 2 weeks ago I was told by Trey in person it would be 2-4 weeks. What is the cause of this extra 4 week delay? I have a hunch that it has to do with quality control.

ooo...what's this about rotational slop? how so? are we talking about the shaft rotating in place, or are we talking the whole shaft is loose and it moves all around? is this even with the newly revised shaft? what are your overall impressions of the unit?

the sway bars are rather annoying to outsource, i think, cause if you look around, there's only the hotchkis and cobb sways available...the hotchkis hitting the market suspiciously after cobb gave them the design for the cobb sways...=/

i don't remember hearing the FMIC having quality issues in design, but i'm going to guess that they're actually just having trouble getting a large shipment ready according to their QA standards. manufacturing has got to be a b**** in this market if you have high QA standards. as much as the wait sux, i'd MUCH rather cobb be anal about it than to put a FMIC in my car and then have a pipe pop off when i'm pulling on a mustang at 100mph...=/

No issues with the Cobb FMIC... my mistake.

It seems that the part that has "Cobb" engraved into it has the slop. Its not much, but I want zero slop.

Otherwise, I love the STS. I love its adjustability and feel. However, when going into 5th or 6th, its not hard to push over far enough in which it hits the center console. Doesnt intfere with shifting, its just that cable trannies have a lot of slop because of their design. The spring that holds the shifter up and out of reverse lacks feeling. Its stiffer, and its not as apparant that its been pushed down, it doesnt bottom out like the stock shifter does.

I ordered the CP-E FMIC today :-)

Hey guys. I hate holding onto peoples $$ for weeks. I simply do not take orders for them unless I have them and the webpage will say "out of stock" until then. I have only been getting them two at a time but I'll be sure to post.
