hey im lookin to buy a CAI but dont know which is better...Injen or Fujita..some1 please help me out....
neither . . . get an sri. Cheaper, works just as well, dont have to worry about hydrlock.
Since im bored I will help you out instead of being a jackass and telling you to search.
CAI = cold air intake
Its called "cold air" becaues the pipe is longer and sucks air from near the wheel instead of inside the engine bay. Because the pipe sucks air near the wheel, if you drive in heavy rain and hit a huge puddle you can suck water into your engine which isn't good . . . It is rare but I have a CAI and in heavy rain its always on my mind. Just FYI this is called hydrolock. The benefit of the CAI however is that people claim the colder air (colder than SRI) gives you more hp but thats a load of crap. Both are the same imo.
SRI = short ram intake
As the name suggests, its a shorter pipe. Sucks the air in in the same spot that the stock airbox does, just eliminates the restriction. This happens in the engine bay so you dont have to worry about sucking up any water. It is also cheaper and probably a little bit easier to install.
If you live in a place where it snows or rains a lot, than definately get the SRI. Hydrolock is rare so don't get scared but why take the risk when you can avoid it ANd save money?? Just my 2cents
