well, maybe you can, you have to split wires, keep the stock ecu to drive the trans and the mazdaspeed ecu for the engine.

BUT...

Is it worth?

i do not think this method will work personally. both ecus would have to be powered and i would think they would conflict.

The wastegate on the turbo is set at 9psi...what would you guys recommend he use to get the kit up...I was running it with the MPI tuner so I didnt have any problems...But I sold the kit to him without the MPI because I might install it with the stripper kit...

Jeremy

what size is the turbo?

it works it had been done, Im going to do it with my car with a microtech. stock ecu will only control the dash, it will also monitor coolant temp and other misc sensors.

I'm probably selling mine here:

I've been running 12 psi on a Begi and a FM clamp and had no problems. Stock pump and injectors. Been doing it for about 6 mos now. Actually its running a bit rich too, so no worry of leaning out yet, and never had even the slightest pinging!

And even if you dont get MY BEGI, at least get a BEGI. Vortecs such ass. They really do. I've put on several of them because the owner wanted to be a cheap ass (1 on a Supercharged Maxima, and 2 on SR20'd 240's and they have nothing but problems with them because you cant really fine tune them, plus they dont give a consistant pressure. The BEGI you can. At 6-9psi A BEGI and a VC clamp and definatly a tranny cooler is all you'd need.

Summit racing sells a really nice rather large engine oil/tranny oil cooler for $99. It works great, great quality, and having only one cooler for both oils saves time and looks very clean. It comes with all the hoses and fittings you'd need to install it to.
