2000 Mazda Protege ES. 1.8
Hi everyone, about three months ago i spun a bearing on my protege, I thought i could just replace the bearings for the time being even tho the crank was scratched on the #3 rod. So I tried four different sets of bearings, none of which fit (huh) so I'm looking for a whole new engine, and if no one knows of an engine, where could i find a new crankshaft and bearings? I live in Union Bridge, Maryland

where are you located, I have a 1.8l for sale with 94k miles on it, ran great, just swapped it out for the 2.5l KL back in May. Comes with whatever you want on it, if you want just the head and block I will strip everything off, only thing is shipping, but i can look into that if you arent close by and are serious about buying.

Or for the right price I will take it apart and sell you the crank and bearings, rods, or whatever you want. I can always scrap the block or make a table lol if needed so not too worried

Yo, what's up, the swap you're doing is sick..I'm sure that car feels a lot faster. You said you still had the old 1.8? What I'm trying to do now since i couldnt find an engine was to just replace the crankshaft, bearings, and piston rings, thinking it might be cheaper. but how much did you want for that 1.8 engine? some other guy offered me the 2.0 but idk if i wanna go through switching out the whole wiring harness and ecu because i need to get this car on the road fast. and if its possible, how much would you sell me only the crank and bearings? cause i could not find bearings at any stores even specially ordered cause none of them fit. So i can only use the bearings if they arent scratched at all. pm me tho because notifications dont show up on here. thats why it took so long to respond
