Personally, I don't want EVs until solid-state battery is used (safer, lighter or longer range under same weight, and less temp dependent). I don't want my house to burn down, especially.
A lot of new batteries that claim to be solid-state are actually semi (having gel-type electrolyte) solid-state. They conveniently skipped the "semi" when they brag about them.
They are safer than ones with liquid electrolyte, but I will wait for the real one ...

Toyota has it coming.
