A type-s will when depending on how you run the race. For instance when I raced my buddies 2000 prelude (he had intake/exhaust, I had no catback) I pulled a car on him if we went from a 40 roll. I win because my turbo spools before he can get any benefits from vtec. Even though he was probably make more power than me I get more of my power sooner. Top end is where he would start to catch me.

Also preludes are heavy pigs..

True but the same thing applies to type-s'. An msp can beat them as long as they dont start the race in vtec. This is assuming a roll. If its a dig I would put my money on the msp any day.

Stock to stock, from a stop, a wrx will roast you. Go on ahead, ask me how I know lol.

I was able to make up the difference on one and he left before I did, so basically he got two cars on me as he red light. But bone stock I wouldn't have made the difference maybe kept up but not pull back cars.

stock wrx's are nothing special from a roll. I agree with racing from a roll on this one. Youll get tore up from a dig.

Yea thats where the type-s lacks.. They run a low 15-high 14 depending on the driver, but have a trap speed in the mid 90's.. If you notice, the trap is good for low 14s.. So from a roll, you're already at a disadvantage unless you have a few mods and up the boost some.. But from a stop, I would have to say its a drivers race..

my friend has a 02 rsx-s and everytime we race i beat him to the 1/8 and he spanks me to the quarter. all either of us had at the time was aem intake.

i have a feeling that this spring will be a different story.

on his car now he has aem,fr and rear motor mounts, skunk2 springs, and koni yellows. those few other mods made a huge differnece in his launch.

another freind of mine bought a stock 02 wrx and was at the track the second day he owned it. his first couple of times were 15.2's his ending times for the day were all 14.8's to 14.9's. so i say it will be close
