Wrecked my baby tonight...

Pulling out onto a street tonight, I got front swiped. The guy was doing at least 30+ mph and probably could have ripped the bumper off. Luckily, insurance will cover the car since I have full coverage, and I'll know in the next few days how much it's going to cost. I can't drive the car because the radiator either has a hole in it, or is just got a broken hose. I can't get the hood popped so I can survey any inside damage, but the front bumper, passenger side headlight, grills, and some basic mounts will at least need to be replaced just by the outside damage. I don't know how much damage is done to the engine bay, but I may even need a new hood because the mount seems broken... Judging by what I saw, and what I know about various parts, I'm probably looking at about 3-4k in damages. Not to mention the other guy's car that my insurance will have to pay for.
Damn kid looked like he was in high school and got cited for no proof of insurance and I got cited for inattentive driving (even though he should have been cited for the wreck as well). Oh well... I'll pay it and move on. At least the car can be fixed.

I'll post new ones tomorrow after work. If anyone has any suggestions or possible replacement parts, let me know. I've got to get some sort of estimate to insurance, and if I can save them money by getting other parts, I'm sure they'd love me forever. Anyone make a good looking body kit for this thing? I'm sure the paint isn't cheap. The damage is A LOT worse than it looks from there. I'll get some good close up pictures in the morning. I'll keep you all updated as I find out more.

that minimal damage....be thankful....i hit a deer @ 110 with my old spec v....the deer didn't have insurance....imagine that.

Why are you supposed to get an estimate to insurance? Thats what you pay them for, for them to do the work..

Damage doesnt look tooo bad, although everything looks better in pics than in real life..

estimate originally was for around 2700. apparently, they found some other problems, and they had to order new parts. the bumper, radiator, radiator support, intake pipe, headlight, and a few mounts were what the lady at the shop told me. It'll be almost 3 weeks from when it happened that I'll get my car back. They guaranteed me it would be finished this upcoming tuesday.
I guess we shall see. If they f'd anything up, heads are going to roll.
