Pulling out onto a street tonight, I got front swiped. The guy was doing at least 30+ mph and probably could have ripped the bumper off. Luckily, insurance will cover the car since I have full coverage, and I'll know in the next few days how much it's going to cost. I can't drive the car because the radiator either has a hole in it, or is just got a broken hose. I can't get the hood popped so I can survey any inside damage, but the front bumper, passenger side headlight, grills, and some basic mounts will at least need to be replaced just by the outside damage. I don't know how much damage is done to the engine bay, but I may even need a new hood because the mount seems broken... Judging by what I saw, and what I know about various parts, I'm probably looking at about 3-4k in damages. Not to mention the other guy's car that my insurance will have to pay for.
Damn kid looked like he was in high school and got cited for no proof of insurance and I got cited for inattentive driving (even though he should have been cited for the wreck as well). Oh well... I'll pay it and move on. At least the car can be fixed.
