Wow Worst Case Of bad Luck!!

This is ridiculous I have had the Worst case of Bad Luck and BS since this morning at 3:00am.

Part 1:
I was out with my friends and we went to out to eat at an IHOP. The parking lot was full so I decided to park in the parking lot across the IHOP thinking everything would be ok.

As we were waiting to be seated I checked my car to make sure it was all ok, (I like looking at my car lol). Five minutes passed as one of my friends that were meeting us at the IHOP called me and told me that he just saw my car drive by in a tow truck. At first I though he was just playing, then I looked outside and it was gone!! I was so ******* pissed! Turns out the parking lot that I parked in which was across the IHOP, you must have a parking permit in your car. $*%(*#($@!( God total BS. I still have yet to confirm if that is true.

So I had to call and find out where the **** my car was. Once I arrived to the middle of nowhere in some back rocky road I got to the stupid towing place. Basically I almost got into a fight with the stupid clerk guy but once my boy calmed me down it was all good. I ended up losing 100 bucks for the ******* towing s***. I really hate towing companies they are the biggest scam ever. I just hoped that they towed my car correctly and that they weren't any scratches. I check everything and it seemed to be ok.

Part 2:

Just now as I was driving home from my friends house, there already was like 2 inches or so of snow and its still snowing as of now. I am very disappointed on how this car handles in the snow. I was literally sliding all over the place. I kept seeing that DSC icon come up. It was really horrible as I was coming up a hill. For AWD it was horrible. I honestly think my 1995 Volvo 850 which has FWD can handle snow better than this.

Anyways as I was getting closer to my house. I was coming up to a light and this ******* asshole in a truck cuts me off, as I apply my brakes this s*** starts locking up and starts sliding. I have no control whatsoever. I basically try to stop the car but since I am sliding I end up hitting the Curb!! What da ****!..... I can't believe all this s*** that has happened to me within 14 hours.

I got out of my car pissed as s*** and examine my car. Once again everything seemed to be ok. Right now I can't believe all this crap. And sorry for all the swearing but its the only way I can express how I feel right now. For a 30 grand car that handles like this in the snow and AWD I mean come on! Very disappointed.

When I got home my dad did examine the car as well and did see a small scratch on the Right rear rim (which is the one that bounced off the curb). I hope that my alignment is still good. I need to check everything tomorrow in better weather. I really hate the ******* snow.

Thanks for reading I Need to have a beer or something and relax.

Thanks,

Orlando

^^^Agreed

AWD is no use if you don't have the right tires for the conditions.

dam s***, I wish the dealership would of mentioned this or something. Wasn't awear that they came with summer tires.

AWD is not useful if you need stop a car, Advise?? Change tires or even wheels and tires, save a life no a money

Yeah living in an area where it does usually snow in the winter I thought for sure they'd mention that the car comes with very high performance summer-only tires.

yea thats why i was so disappointed, the dealership should of been considerate and been like " hey this car comes with summer tires but since it's winter we recommend you put on all-season or winter tires" or at least offer to put them on instead of the summer tires. Thats going to be my agruement for tomorrow. Now that i think about it, it could of been worse so i am thankful that nothing else happened.

Oh you bought the car in the winter? yikes that's even worse that they didn't mention it to you. ugh dealerships

I just bought the car last tuesday..... I just reached 1k miles today too and all these bad things :(

It really helps having proper tires in the winter, as many have said. I learned the hard way ;)

I really hate learning the hard way.... Its seems to me that i have learned the hard way 1 too many times.

Never let a towing company blackmale you for your car again.. By LAW they have to give it to you with no charge. If they don't, call the cops. Been through this before...they have NO RIGHT to hold your property hostage. Thank goodness a lawyer friend of mine was with me when it got towed once.

Please explain this in more detail...

I bet you that the towing company F'ed up your ride. This car cannot be towed like a normal car because it's AWD. If you need to tow this car, you need to use a flatbed so that the rear wheels aren't rolling. I doubt they used a flatbed to tow your car. I would complain big time.

Also, don't think for a second that the dealer "forgot" to mention that the car has summer tires. He intentionally left that information out. Think about how hard it is to sell a car with summer tires during the winter. As slow as these cars are moving he could not risk losing the sale by telling you that the car has summer tires, or losing the money it would cost to change tires for you. If you knew you had to buy winters and did not want to eat the extra cost, this could very well have lost the sale for him. Your ignorance is their profit.

Now how can I Make sure that they used a dolly and that they didn't mess up my car. Could this explain the really poor handling in the snow later on that day? Or is it just really the tires?? If anything were to happen couldn't i just take it to the dealership to get it fixed under warranty. What is this law that the towing company can't charge you?? Don't they have the right to take it since i parked in an area that requires a permit?

Thanks,

Orlando

Ok i just called two different Dominion Towing Company's in my area, and them seemed to know what they were talking about as far as towing. HE said "We are professionals and the drivers know if it is Awd, fwd, or rwd based on how the car rolls once they put it on a lift. He then explained that if the car was AWD they put it on a Flatbed or use Dollys just like you guys said. So i think it should be ok.

Honestly after i drove my car it was fine, im thinking of going on a test drive right now to confirm it, but before i do what should i pay close attention to?? Any nosies? How my car shifts?

Thanks,

Orlando

very few people even know the MS6 is AWD. I'd be surprised some guy in a tow truck would.

And not to be a prick or anything, but a car that is called a MazdaSPEED, and has 18" high performance tires on it, I am not sure how you would think they would be good in the snow?

Similar story: there is only one other mazdaspeed 6 in my area, and this guy calls me up all friggin mad one night because he can't find winter tires. I have never met him in my life. He too was mad at the dealer and I told him the same I'll tell you. You must have made a purchase without researching it enough. This is not entirely the dealers fault. Yes the salesman could have mentioned this, but did YOU ask about it either? In his case, he didn't ask....enough said. Again, not trying to be a dick, but a mistake is a mistake. Summer tires are for summer, winter for winter. AWD isn't doesnt mean it's a hummer in the winter time.

on a side note, I live in some of the worse winter climate on the planet, and this car with a good set of winters on it is amazing in the snow for a car, not too mention crazy fun. I have NEVER driven another car that made me feel so safe on the roads and I've owned quite a few.

Sorry about the bad day, and hope the car is indeed ok, that would totally suck.

Enjoy the gorgeous car. get some 17" steelies, and some winter tires Dunlop M3, or DS2's are pretty cheap. Toyo makes a nice winter tire as well.

17's from a MP3, MAzda 6 will fit. Anything with a 114.3 x 5 wheel really. Mazda 3, Mazda 5 maybe. Steelies are the cheapest though. Good luck
