so how close was the injectors to the TB, mine are something like 4 inches away from it at the elbow pointed straight at it ... hmmm

also, did you have a dry or wet system

back it up EQ... same here! just at the where the elbow bends!!
either that or make sure its aimed STRAIGHT not crooked :(

Glad to see you are back on the Road Again..I doubt the positioning cause the damage..What i can figure..is that he aimed it backwards...which would cuase..the nitrous to enter the engine first..and than the fuel...or your fuel solenoid..might not have opened..and that's why you detonated..lots of nitrous..and no fuel..is a bad combination..you mentioned..you had one solenoid fail on you!

But 4inches away from the TB is what is called for!

yes, but it was so close it didn't allow for a good mixture before it all went into the combustion chamber, he also had it aimed into the TB, right at cylinder 4.
 
i really cant afford to have anything happen again with nitrous. even 1/100 chance is too much.


well, maybe not 1/100 :D

aimed nozzle DIRECTLY at cylinder 4, not allowing a even flow into all cylinders.

also the nozzle prolly could have used a few more inches from the TB.
