Where's the nearest bathroom?
O.K.... So this afternoon, my darling wife sends me to Lowes Garden Center for a few neccessities (she knows I'll do anything to drive her sweet little CX-7).
So I'm on an inner-city, limited-access, devided parkway doing about 65 MPH (10 over the limit) when I see a guy in a Red Dodge Ram extended-cab about to enter from a side road on my right. I'm 50 ft. away and realize he isn't going to stop. (help)
He enters the parkway and our eyes lock. Fear on his face and fear on mine. This is gonna be bad.
He slams on the brakes just as I turn 45 degrees left. We miss by litterally inches. But its not over yet.
I'm braking too, as I leave the concrete roadway. Then onto the asphalt shoulder, and gravel. And now, a grassy slope down to the left.
"Goodbye cruel world". I'm sure a roll-over, with serious injury at best, is in my very immediate future.
But NO! A little fishtail and she straightens up. I'm back up the slope to my right, onto the shoulder and roadway - and I'm now doing about 35. (drive)
A glance in the rearview shows the guy in the Dodge still sitting accross two lanes of parkway. And as I go around a curve another hundred yards down the road, he's still there.
The nearest bathroom was two miles away at an Exxon station. I made it.
Love that CX-7!!!!!!!!!!!!!
