Wow, i ABUSE my MS3.

So im wondering....because us americans here in Germany lose our minds on the Autobahn, but the back roads of Germany are even better! I drive my car like its on a track at least 4-7 times a week! I mean all tires squeeling and the whole nine, 4000+ rpms for 5-8 minutes at a time. If ever this car was made for the track im giving it the work out of its life and every time i take it out i get a bit bolder.....so what sort of wear should i be looking for? I mean no joke its either track wear or 130mph+ so i imagine that i should be looking for things others arent. I know i should change my oil more than most (im doing it every 1500.) but what else?

Yeah no kidding, im more worried abut my brake pads, and suspension more than anything else, i know keeping it in the higher RPMs means that i will need to watch for engine wear, but what about the suspension bushing and things like that?

i heard there was a loose bolt on the rear swaybar and the motor mount problem, I'd look into those. other than that just basic maintenance.

you should be worried about your mazda dealer finding this thread, not gonna get any good-will repairs if they know you abuse your car

I don't understand what you mean about the 4krpms+, I take her up to past 5+ if I am running it. Whats the big deal shifting after 4k. Anyway, like Jbird said, I would be worried about engine wear b/c if you take it into the dealer for somethat that is not supposed to happen until later down the road and you only have say 10k miles, I think they might suspect something.

No what im saying is when im running the backroads, much like when youre on the track you spend long periods of time north of 4K, which generates tons of heat.

Wow, everyone here seems to like to complain instead of answering your question....

First things I would look at is ball joints and tie-rod ends. With all the high speed direction changes thats a lot of force on the joints. The sway bar end links would also be something to look at but you will probably hear those when there worn out. Good rule of thumb is anything rubber will wear out first (sway bar bushings). Other than that just keep you tire pressure about 1-1.5psi higher than normal to offset the wear from cornering hard and its just general maintenance after that. Hope that helps.

you cant say much here without people questioning what you post....anyhow, i love that you are "ENJOYING" your car to its full potential. Geezer said it the best, rubber materials wear quick under harsh conditions. keep an eye on all of your fluids. The dealer wont know jack, besides, ure in Germany!

Watch out for those damn speed cameras!! Polizei seem to like putting them in areas that are travelled by service members.

HELL YEAH THEY DO! Geeze. The ones that im afraid of are the ones in cars. For those of you that dont know, Germany has speed cameras in static locations like everyone else, they also have some in civilian rides that they just park where ever. Bad stuff. Only flashed once so far.........on the way home from picking up my MS3, barely speeding.
