most likely yes. the ms3 will still be rare, plus it shouldnt have half the problems the msp has. i can't though, since i blew my engine and i'm rebuilding it and would lose a lot of money on a trade-in or if i sell it, so i'm stuck with it. not a bad car to get stuck with though.

I would say no, simply because I dont like the bodystyle.

Although, I am more likely to add another Mazda to my collection of cars every single minute I drive the MSP. Thats how impressed I am with this car.

Depends on what it is. It wont be as good as the ms6 motor... so i'm curious what they are gonna do. I'll have to see the specs before I do anything.

Dude, there are like 5 threads floating around with the recently released info on the car. It will be FWD, using the exact same engine and turbo setup as the MS6.

Oh I see what you're saying.

I would say look for about 250 hp, and it's a Mazda, it doesn't really have a choice in handling well, it's inherent in this particular family, lol. 3's handles pretty damn well stock, and this will be upgraded, car-specific suspension just like the MSP. Handling should be amazing. As far as weight, almost identical to the 3. 100 extra pounds is all I could imagine them adding, and that will mostly be in the turbo and suspension upgrades.

I don't think I'd trade my MSP for the MS3, I would pay off the MSP and get the MS3...I am kind of attached at the moment...it would have been nice if I was able to get her brand new...

Trade in? No. The 3's shape is too frumpy. Not ugly, just not "right". If it actually performs as good as or better than the MSP, I may consider one down the line, though.

Nah I don't think I'd be able to get rid of my MSP. The MS3 looks like a sweet ride, but the protege was the first model to wear the mazdaspeed badge. Think about how much the first fuel injection vettes are worth today? My father told me stories of how he sold his two vettes back in the 70's one was a '62 and the other was a '67 small block convertible. I always gave him s*** for selling those...granted a protege is not a classic vette nor will it ever be worth what those bad boys are today, but the protege is an awesome little car. It looks awesome driving down the road, and handles as well as some much more expensive sports cars. Whever I see another one on the road it pumps me up because they are so rare and I'm happy someone else has the same taste in cars as I do. Remember mazda only made like 5 thousand or less pieces of the MSP. I think only 2750 were 2003.5's. Whatever the number it's not that many. Hold on to the MSP you won't regret it! If I ever have a kid, he/she's driving the old msp in the barn...waaazzzaaaaa hi-po protege!
