Only have 68K miles on her, but someday she'll have to be replaced. THAT will be a sad day. Haven't seen anything as good lately, for the value.

Replaced...NEVER!!!

hahaha, just retired for the more special occasions in life...

Yah, mine used to feel nice to drive until I had to go upgrading everything!
Eibachs, HPs, spacers, brakes, rotors, SS lines, trailin arms, F & R links, AWR RSB, motor mount, etc...
Now it drives like a jackhammer.

This may be the first vehicle that I'll prolly rebuild if the engine goes..

IF???

LOL I'm on my second motor already and looking in the future for a built motor to replace the one currently under my hood.

Damn, Bill...What the hell do you do to that car??!! Blowing s*** up like the Taliban..LOL!!

you guys.. the Protege5 is a great car, the stock engine works very well for what it was made as.. a ~100whp 2.0 4-cyl stuck on a sporty econowagon chassis.

Barring some slight manufacturing defects (intake manifold butterly screws, random lemons, etc) it's a damn reliable little car, and plenty of fun. My car could be much less reliable than it has been and I would still be quite happy with it :)
