Ha, yeah, appears that they were targeting a specific audience ;)

Not a chance, I was willing to overlook the weak motor because I had to rescue this beautiful white sportwagon from the used car dealer lot. I was torn between this and a millenia. Since the millenia was just a base version and not the S the choice was easy for me. The huge fogs, understated but perfect aerokit, low profile rubber and fun driving dynamics won me over.

Oooh, be glad you dodged THAT bullet! Millenias are junk, always have been, and the S series are the worst. Sure they're quick... when they're running.

Why'd you have to go and show us that? It's like showing someone with a hot girlfriend pictures of her as a gawky teenager with braces and glasses. Not nice, not nice at all.

Bwwahaha! ^ Yep - how i feel exactly!
I would not have let my wife see it when we went to the dealership to test the P5 - (base model was probably way cheaper) - or said it comes with a spike on the steering wheel, or i dunno', sumthin ' to make the P5 the OBViOUS choice!

P5 is teh sexee! ;)

lol you guys are so shallow. its whats underneath that counts

Ya' mean suspension would be base model too?! Then not evena snowball chance...

Definitely wouldn't have given that a chance. The styling drew me in, and I bought it without even test driving it (!!.. I learned to drive stick on this car).

Thats right. Except in this case whats underneath is the FS-DE and probably rear drum brakes!

P5 LOOKS FTW!

Yeah, I guess I was looking for some cheap luxury after giving my 96 Infiniti
G20 to my sister. The 02 Millenia was looking really good. I was jonesing for a MilleniaS but the P5 just won me over. I've always liked smaller cars.

No.

Then again, when I went to pick up my P5 my girlfriend said "you bought a station wagon?!" She's no longer my girlfriend. (nuts)

Ahhh! Just have to drop it a little more than the P5 needed and hack up the bumper enough to flow to the exposed FMIC and it could look EVIL enough! I have never been a fan of ground effects until the P5. Just subtle enough to look sporty and not Fast and Furious!!

yeah that looks like a Grandma wagon, it be pretty hard to make that ride look cool.

No way, my friends already made enough fun of me for buying a wagon, at least till they saw it and realized how good it looks. If they looked like that one I probably would still be driving my 95 altima with no rear brakes or muffler.

First reaction I got from a friend when I bought my Protege5: "well that's unfortunate"

Haha! Thing is, until you actually drive the P5, you're missing the whole connection with the car. I thought it looked sporty enough (coming from an Integra). Then I drove it and was blown away. Not by power or speed, but the shear enjoyment and communication felt between driver and car. It is what it is, a small econobox hatchback that still puts a smile on my face without emptying the bank.

Exactly.. the same friend who gave the above reaction when he first saw the car.. loves the car now that he has driven it.

Only have 68K miles on her, but someday she'll have to be replaced. THAT will be a sad day. Haven't seen anything as good lately, for the value.
