Would this work?

I was hoping I could paint my calipers spicy orange, however, it's only available in normal temperature paint. Would it be possible to have some high temp stuff made at Home Depot or could I just use the normal stuff and cover it pretty well with high-temp clearcoat?

good question, i would love to paint mine titanium to match the rest of my car :P would love to know.

I am not sure so dont take my word for it but I think if you were gonna use stock paint on something like that I would use 2-3coats of hi temp primer, then 2-4 coats of the paint then 3-4 coats of a hi temp clearcoat, that way the base layers and top layers are heat resistant and will help any chance the stock paint has of surviving the higher temps.

theoretically I think it would work...but I dont know, only problem I could see is a little bubbling of the mazdfa paint between the hi temp layers.
