Would this cause fuel cut?

I am getting ready for spring time here. I *was* going to do a cat back but decided to waite it out until some one offered a down pipe with a cat and a mid pipe with a cat then at that time do a cat back all together (next year). I don't like the one piece CP-E design. So, for now I am going to drop the car off at an exhaust shop and pop out the first resonator and put a different tip on it. Which leaves the $ I had aside for the cat back up for grabs with other mods now...
I am looking at a new ETS 3.25" or 3.5" core top mount intercooler. I will then add a boost controller and MAP clamp at like 18PSI or so. Would those mods along with my ATP 3" inlet tube and BEGI intake box cause fuel cut? Because this $ is *IT* for mod money this spring/summer. My wife is going to choke me until I turn purple.......or blue........what ever comes first.
The mods on the car right now are:
1) TWM shoty shifter and solid bushings= No effect on fueling.
2) S.U. rear motor mount=No effect on fueling
3) Forge DV=No effect on fueling
4) Boost gauge and shift light=safety
5) ATP 3" inlet pipe kit= Effects fueling I guess
6) BEGI intake box kit= effects fueling also
7) All silicone couplers and SS T-bolt clamps=safety

So if I add a bigger TMIC and 3psi-5psi more boost am I going to fuel cut? This will be with a stock down pipe, mid pipe and mildly tinkered with stock cat back.

Thanks.........Matt :)

If the MAP causes the cut and you clamp it, it seems you would not run into cutting issues. Why turn up the boost without replacing the downpipe though? Your engine will be horribly inefficient until you open up the exhaust.

Because no one offers a catted down pipe yet. So I am not touching the exhaust this year until there are more options. I could by the Corksport mid pipe and have a small stainless cat welded in I guess. I know I am not in the position right now to do the CDFP and a TMIC. I just want to know how far I can go before I see fuel cut. The boost controller and MAP clamp I am sure will add a real good power increase. Could I see more hp with a DP right now.....heck ya. But I have to be patient. For now I am going to do the MAP clamp and boost controller. Then I will do more research on the TMIC upgrades out there. I like the ETS that SU sells and how they will powder the ring in black!!!

What are you talking about. CPE offers a catted downpipe of which I have. What is wrong with the design. Its a well crafted peice of hardware which by the way is one peice that would hook up to any and all cat back exhausts.

I am very happy with my CP-E catted DP... The one piece design is great, plus the flex joint they added is the best design so far...eliminates any stress (long term) to welds/joints induced by engine movement.

But I understand on you wanting to wait, I wanted a divorced gases design (like CS) in a catted version...but more DPs won't be available till mid-end of this year...if we are lucky and I didn't want to wait...

I wouldn't suggest the map clamp or boost control... I am a firm believer in not messing with engine controls of the car. Bolt-on all you want, but don't mess with the ECU until something is out; PnP, AP, re-flash, etc...

With all my bolt-ons, I have no fuel cut nor boost cut and my car is a beast!!!

Just my 0.02 cents

lol...either way there exhaust system is bar none the shiznit... No among other things I can attest to, but I will keep quite on that note...

I am not a greenhorn to moding cars here. I am 32 and have been at it for 17 years. I am not touching the DP and MP until I see something out that I like. CP-E's one piece design is not it. I am sure it is nice and I am sure there are people that like their pipes. That's fantastic. It's not for me....Now Corksport's DP is VERY nice...but I would like to see a cat/Pre cat in it. Again, I have my reasons for wanting that. Now, Corksport's mid pipe is nice also and I am thinking of getting it and a SS aftermarket cat and welding it in my self with my MIG and some SS wire. I have just never tried welding SS with a MIG.
My reason for this post was for a TMIC Q and fuel cut. I see some guys get it and others don't but I am not sure what combo of mods with the TMIC are causing fuel cut.
I have decided to sell off the ATP 3" inlet pipe kit also. It doesn't fit like I want it too so it's gone. It's nice and a solid piece but...it doesn't bolt up to the stock air box like I was told....I want some thing that clears and mates up with stock parts better.
I am not 100% on the MBC and MAP clamp just yet. A good few guys run them and they are fine with good AFRs. Make no mistake. The day I do a MBC and a MAP clamp I will be dynoing it to see what the AFRs look like.
