Would sr20de swap be possible?

why can't mazda's be like civics in which almost every car interchanges engines....arrgghh....somuch for "uniqueness"

i bet if there was just one swap that would make things betetr for the msp...everyone would had swapped already...

we just need an engine with the same dimensions as the fsde, that can withstand 20psi on stock internals, that is bolt on....and that's it

Beat me to it!!

I want an FE3 :(

Call Corksport. They were importing them about 3-4 years ago.
The FE3 was a hot engine to import amongst the 88-92 Probe GT/MX-6 GT crowd. It was swapped in to replace the stock SOHC 2.2L Turbo engine.

I used to have a 1989 Probe GT and I was talking to Corksport about this before I sold the car.

They're quite hard to find now, so I don't know if Corksport would still be willing to do this or how much they'd charge.

EDIT: Whoops, I forgot they're here in the States now in the Sportage. My bad.

With some changes, and that's a RWD application so we'd still have to find a tranny and stuff, even if the motor mounts weren't that much of an issue.

I didn't know the FWD tranny for sr20de was as weak as ours. Thats retarded. I guess I'm stuck with the fs-de and weak tranny it came with. I definitely will never buy a fwd car again.

I was refering to your post, why would you swap an engine thats able to put down more hp when you can easily swap it in to the 240 chassis with ease...

And I was agreeing with your statement that rwd is indeed better than fwd. (thumb)
