worthless car wax

Yeah, $90 is a bit steep. Although I've probably spent that much on waxes I'm never going to use. The hard part for me is having the planets align just right so I can get out to the carwash and then have at least 2 hours of nice weather on a weekend in ohio. That doesn't happen often. It's tough when you live in an apartment.

I do a 3 stage wax with meguiares. I wash with a grease cutter soap then i use the step one which cleans and removes scratches. apply in a up/down motion since scratches are swirled. the i use step 2 the polish, then i rap it up with Gold. then the next time i wash the car i add another coat of gold. I had this application and i have gone the whole salty winter and i am just now needing to do it again.

oh carnauba is a thick wax that does not luster as much. it also melts off because it is heat sensitive and soft. good protection but not the best for looks

DONT LISTEN TO THEM!!! "NXT BLOWS HARDCORE IMO."
If you have the extra cash, go buy some Zaino Wax starter kit and that will last a whole lot longer and provides a much nicer finish than NXT. NXT is easy, but smells dead nasty, can't see my own reflection in my paint, nowhere near as smooth as my car, nowhere near as shiny as my car, and still not as easy to wipe off compared to Zaino.

Best part, tape does not stick to my car and neither does bumper stickers.

www.zainostore.com or zainobros.com -cant remember which is correct or if both are correct

Look I wouldnt tell someone to use something unless it worked fine on my car. Heres my proof:

Yea I like NXT also!I havent gotten the spray wax booster but does anyone know if it gives better results than using just the tech wax?

Im not sure, but Meguires does offer a guarantee..If you dont like it return it to them for w full refund, not much of a risk there if you ask me.

I just waxed my car a few weeks ago with Meguiar's Gold Glass. To be honest with you, I noticed a difference for the first few days...then after a few car washes it seemed to wear off. So I waxed it again.. 2x in one month. I think I could have wax build up on my car right now, probably not a good thing..

Anyhow, Consumer's Reports rated "Once a year" car wax to be one of the best. It comes in that bright orange bottle and is fairly cheap, so you might wanna check it out.

Yep! (yes) It's called NU Finish. It basically waterproofs your car. I've used it on my previous car too it's awesome.

NU Finish pwns all!

PS: Available at Wal-mart @ $7 per bottle (I think).

NXT is good stuff... if you don't want to spend a lot of money on your cars upkeep, then it is the way to go.

If you really want the best, then get the starter zaino kit like these guys are saying. However, if you still can't stomach the cost then you can purchase the individual stuff from the website. Just get a bottle of the z5, get your own detail spray and claybar, and then put the zaino on like you would any other wax. If you want to be able to do multiple coats per day like you can with the kit, then also get the ZFX accelerator additive when you order the z5.

I reccomend doing at least 5 coats of the zaino bros... the shine and feel of the paint is absolutely amazing after 5, and it lasts for several months.

Dad uses Nu finish, and he is always asking me how i get my car so shiney because his looks dull.

I've used the meguiars crap. Looks great for a week then it's gone. I've used the mother 3 stage using the real carnuba, and it lasts longer, but it's a b**** to put on. It took me all day to do the mothers 3-stage, and afterwards my arms would be killing me. Could never get the NXT stuff here so I can't speak for that. I'm not a big Meguiars fan so leave it at that.

then I tried Zaino. Got the starter kit this time last year, used it loved it, and I'll still get through this year on the same kit. The first time you use it, it's very important to do it right, and it does take some time. The clay'ing is the hardest part, but not as hard as mothers at all. Once you do the first claying and coat, etc, putting on additional coats throughout the year is a joke. I'd simply apply a coat of z2 or z5, it goes on like butter it is so easy. Let it sit for 30 mins, perhaps go in and play xbox or something. then come out and wipe it off. Wiping it off is no harder then dusting your coffee table. And it lasts a lot longer then traditional waxes, and you won't have to wash the car half as often as I found dirt didn't stick to it as much as other waxes. the fact that Zaino is layerable is awesome too. more coats = more mirror like finish, it's awesome.

bottom line, I love zaino. never using anything else. everything else was too hard to use for too little results that didn't last for s***. Zaino is easy, lasts long, and a kit lasts a lot longer then you might think. Klasse and s10 are other good waxes as well.

I have a thread in the appearance section named Zaino vs NXT. Look for it for pics.

I can't stress enough how easy it is to remove the zaino compared to everything else. Your arms will thank you as much as your car does.:)

I knew a guy eith a 350Z that had 52 coats of zaino. he was an ER surgeon and it was his release. that was a year ago god only knows how many he has on there now..it was a work of art

you should have gotten him to do your car

ok, yes the initial cost of zaino is expensive but once you have the starter kit, all you have to buy afterwards is Z2, Z5 and the gloss enhancer and those are just about $3-5 more than the wax you buy from autozone or whatever. Not just that but all of that will last longer than any of the waxes you buy. When I reorder, it doesn't cost me more than $30 because I know what I need and only get what I need, the rest you don't after you started the process.

And, go search up zaino until you find pictures from Newf's car since he posted pics first.
