You know what, that just got to me. The First car's that were prototype's were running high 14's to 15- flat quarter mile times. "Look forcefed ran a 15.1 Bone Stock and lawerence ran a 14.9 stock LOL(laugh). Maybe they have the Preproduction car's that were prototypes. (rofl) j/k. I dunno, MAYBE though hehe.

if thats true that might explane why his engine blew
that would kind of suck too, knowing that infact you didnt get a "new" car when you bought it, because they usualy beat the living hell out of those test cars,
I've seen pictures of mazda testing a first gen RX-7, the car was about 7ft in the air with a ramp a good 30 or so feet behind the car

I could care less about what number it is now, the suspense has died down...As far as the 1/4 mile times, it probably doesn't have anything to do with the cars. It's pretty simple really...Lawrence is just a better driver than Forcefed...

You know what I just thought of?? Remember in Sport Compact Car they did the review of the MSP?? Their car didn't have ABS..If this was a test car that they decided to sell, they would have to bring it back to the shop and install ABS, then sell it to a consumer. That doesn't sound very responsible, if that is what they did. Unless there is a little clip you just unplug I haven't the slightest idea, this is the first car I've owned with ABS...

Not to get off topic, but I guess lawerence and Forcefed and any other driver that has achieved lower than a 15.4-15.6sec 1/4mile time is better than another driver right. not really if you think about it, I mean people complain how come the true #'s of the MSP hasn't been revealed at all. Same for the SpecV, as where it supposely was suppose to have 180hp and a 6500rpm redline. But due to some sorta whatever happended to it. I mean maybe Forcefed does have a preproduction/prototype car, Who knows????(hmm). Btw you are right on some consumptions.

To clear up the misconseption about production run cars being the test mules for Mazda. That is totally wrong. Why would mazda use an actual "production" vehicle for a test mule. Car manufacturers make hundreds of test mules before going into production. Look at the SRT-4, there we like 5 runs of 150 cars each for that. Thats 750 test mules made before the car went into production.

The production numbers for the 03 were what. 600 spicy orange and 1150 black mica for the US and 250 spicy orange for the peeps in canada. Thats 2000 cars total made for the 03 model.

Basically what I am saying is this. Mazda sells 1750 in the us, Production numbers from 1-1750 sold. 250 for canada, 1-250 for them.

Mazda has mules, they are the cars you see at the mfr shows, Mazdas museum, and what not. I garuntee if you get a vin off one of them, and call Mazda, it will show up as a regular protege.
