With all these pictures of shiney new MSP's...

...I thought I'd share what 4115 km of built-up Canadian road grime looks like. It's deceiving - the car doesn't look bad but the mica doesn't sparkle hardly at all. A co-worker pointed out that my car paint looked duller than when I picked it up, then when I wiped my finger across the hood, and took off a layer of dirt, they were amazed at the difference. You can tell how dirty it is from the headlights.

Anyway, here is my car (finally posted some pics!). And it will get its first (!) bath in exactly 12 days when I get my waxes/polishes and buffer. :)

1 - Special dual-colour windshield mod (almost transparent with mostly opaque "swishes").
2 - Special "smoked" headlight mod. Not the traditional tint, this is more of a greyish brown...
3 - Do-it yourself look-a-like 2003.5 wheel mod. Let enough brake dust build up to give the rims a darker finish.
4 - When mod #2 obscures enough light that you can't see at night, wipe a small area off to let some light shine through.

lol hilarious

if it doesnt rain in a couple hours over here ill post pics of my lovely finish too

I can always count on a post from grimace to make me laugh.

But, damn! Wash that dude! She ain't bad, just needs some attention.

You think TO is bad.....bah! The Mazda Rep that comes from TO to see us from time to time always complains of the sand on our roads. But, the ole MP3 is as shiney today as she always was.....wax it buddy, get that beauty a sparklin'

laterz

Okay, here's a pic of me and my car. Freshley washed and waxed, and with a couple of cold ones consumed.

The pic I posted of my MSP at the Atwater NT autox, over in the Motorsports forum looks similar to yours. It was taken after 3 sets of rain showers that morning, and rain the night before, with several autox runs thrown in and mud flyin'

It still looks ok in the pic, but I can see the dirt...

The Orange seems to hide the dirt pretty well, doesn't it...

I love your MAZDASPEED!!!I love your MAZDASPEED!!!

Gotta love Canada....
Try that in combination with living on a building site. Now there's a pretty picture. My cars no longer Silver, it's grey. :(

She'll be getting a bath soon. Treating her to a brand new buffer, wax and polish (Meguir's, I've had good luck with it) and a nice interior vacuuming.
Probably once I do that, it will start to get the hesitation, clunking, and antifreeze leak that I have so far (knock on wood) been spared. :D
