wiring problem (headlights)?

Well, a couple of months ago, my driver side low-beam went out, so I purchased Silverstar Ultras, and replaced them a couple of months ago. Last night, my passenger side low-beam went out. This morning I turn on my headlights, and my driver side came on for like 2 seconds, then just crapped out. So now, I have no working low-beams. Does this just randomly happen, or is there maybe some sort of wiring issue. I'd like to find out what it is so that I don't have to keep buying new light bulbs. Thanks

could be loose connection. Mine use to blow randomly cuz the stock connectors are crap. I cut the stock connectors off and put on my own female connectors. No problems since. Sounds to me like there's a loose connection.

i have the same issues...i buy the ultras and they dont last 2 months...i buy the plain ones..they last a lil longer maybe a month more tops...i thought about it being the connectors, but havent gotten around to trying to replace them..its hard enough to get my hands in there to do them damn lights...

Really? Man, I never thought of the connectors. Where did you get the female connectors that you used? did you solder 'em on there? Use wire nuts? Did you keep the plastic intermediate piece that the bulb plugs into also?

Thanks.

I think our cars have issues popping bulbs from the start, but, the Ultra's seem much more susceptiable ( my seplling - attroschous)

I've gone through Silverstars and Ultras. Finally just saved the extra coin and went HID. No problems from either car

buy regular bulbs and they'll last forever. Buy silverstars and they'll crap out.
It's been covered.

ive had the Luminics bulbs since sept of last year
no problems
at all but i just ordered my DDM 6K HID kit so
its gona be alot better

I pop bulbs like its going out of style.

Lets see...

Ive gone through 3 drivers side low beams, 2 passenger side low beams, and each fog light now. All in less than 2 years. They have issues but the extra jarring caused by the sporty ride might have something to do with it.

Also when I had to get a new alternator, the replacement was overcharging and it caused both of my low beams to pop. So I had them get me a new alternator and that one didn't do that. So they seem to be sensitive to voltage jumps.
