i did my greddy timer so i will make i easy for others it wasnt bad since i have the know how but really there not super hard im just making it easy so you dont need to test all the wire to find out what is what:)

1) remove the panel on the bottom of the steering comum theres 3 screws 1 back towards the middle and 2 silver 1 under the tilt the other is very noticable. remover the area around the key hole it wont break easy so dont be affraid to be aggresive, then remove the bottom half it should pop appart preety easy.
**note-its alot easier to do all this with the tilt all the way up and the seat back for more room

2) the wires most use are 1 a keyed, 2 acc wire, 3 12v wire and the ground so heres the wires you need
a.black/yellow-- 12v
b. black/white-- acc
c. blue---------key/on

3) how to obtain these wires! theres a row of wires electrical taped to the colum. cut the tape and get it out of your way all the wires you are looking for are the bigger of the wires so its not that bad the ground wire i attacked to a bolt by taking the nut off the steering colum area and tghtened it back up

4) now the fun part set the times functions to where you want it after a fast test put it all back together again and make sure that black screw goes back in the spot it came from yeah i learned that fast....lol have fun guys hope this helps:) if you need speed sensor etc i know where those are also this is just a basic guideline

sorry to bump the old thread.

i attempted to follow these directions to get to the acc wire to hook up my radar detector (had it hardwired into the protege) just had a couple pointers

first off, that steering column is a b**** to get to. i suggest popping the top half off first, and then going for the bottom half. also, if you have the smart key, remove the ignition cover, it really blocks stuff up. other that that, good write up.

Ignition cover? Is that the thing covering the keyhole that I turn to start the car, or is there another part I'm missing. I'm going to attempt to install a timer soon. And these look like how to hot wire a car, lol.

Hi everybody thanks to MS64meplease for the wiring instructions. I put the turbo timer on my car on monday and here is a photo. I tried to put it in the 12v drawer but I cant take out the hand brake console so I do it here.
