Wiper Blades & Warranty

My MZ3 i sedan has only 1800 miles and two months under its belt and the wiper blades seem to be streaking already. They are either dirty or there isn't enough tension on the blades to properly contact with the window.

Anyone else have a similar problem? I also remember hearing at the dealership that expendable parts have a 12-month warranty on them before they become not covered. Would I be able to replace my blades under warranty due to what I consider premature wear?

buy a coke, get a rag, splash some coke on said rag, wipe down the rubber on the blades. Get some Bonami(sp? and I am too lazy to walk out into the garage and check spelling) cleaner and next time to get ready to wash your car down scubb your front window down (and just the front window and nothing else) with a little of this shtuff and a clean rag, then rinse thouroughly and wash the entire car to get it cleaned up. You'll be amazed.

PS Let us know what the dealer says if you actually tell them you want new wiper blades... They may giggle and smile as you ask them but it might be worth a shot but you'll, again, have to figure out why they are doing this 1800 miles later.

Using some "Rain-X" windshield washer fluid might be a good idea too. Aside from it's obvious use, I think it lubricates the windshield & your wiper-blades too. After using that stuff, the rain just runs right off my windshield! Good stuff.

I had issues applying rain-x to my front window, after a while it caused some really annoying smearing, but on the back windows of hatches it works superb...

or just get a wet paper towel and run the blades through it between your fingers every week after you wash the car. that's what i do and 3 years (florida sun) and 60k miles later i still have wipers that came with the car from the factory. (nana)

undefinedI thought it was just me....Mine started streaking from day one. Good luck getting Mazda to replace anything under warranty!

Mine streaks also, but why try to talk Mazda into replacing the bad blades, with the same bad blades.

Just replace them with a good pair of blades like I plan on doing soon.
