Winter Tires

I own a '14 M6 Touring, I want to put a set of 17" rims and snow tires instead of 19". Any suggestions? Concerns?
The dealer want $1900 just for rims.

just get some 17x7.5 et45-40 aftermarket wheels with 225/55R17 and it should cost less than 1900$

17's clear just fine. You can even fit 16's if you wanted to.

Yes wasn't sure what et45-40 meant?

Looking at Tire Rack, and saw various offset, and back spacing specifications. Is the ET45-40 the offset?

Offset and back spacing are the same, but measure differently

like i said, 17x7.5 et45 or 40 should do the job with 225/55R17 or 215/60R17
