Blame me if it snows this week I guess.

(cheers)

activated here too! Blizzak REVO 1's second season. pulled me out of some serious snow last year and added the flaps to make it through this winter.

THanks! I originally looked at a pathetic and ugly (but cheaper) set of 16's on the Tire Rack site, but then I found these and I got a smokin' deal on them so I couldn't pass them up!

put the dogs in the back for more weight during the snow. they are phat.

Fine if no deep snow. I have driven with summer tires in winter. (screwy)

Dude, seriously? I think you have to define 'deep snow.' As a crazy ****** who has driven through entire winters with stock MSP Potenzas on, I can testify to the fact that if you don't know what you're doing, you *WILL* **** your s*** up, even on the lightest of snows.

And speaking about the tire in question, my friend had Azenis through winter once and would skid at the lightest dusting of snow.

I noticed a noticable lack of grip from the stock RE050a's since the temps dropped below 50. I can only imagine the grip (or lack there of) in snow on those tires. Plus I live in bumblefuck, and it snows like a mofo out here and they don't exactly do a fantastic job on clearing the streets.

yup bad situation to be in. I was putting it off buying snow tires. Found myself having to travel for work in a light dusting that was really slush on the road. At 5 MPH i was sliding. I got to my destination. Went online and ordered my winter setup. This year put them on early so i wasn't stuck putting them on WHILE THE SNOW WAS FALLING!

I use 15" steelies and some Hankook 185-width winter tires. My past experiences with summer tires in snow (R-S2s, Azenis, ContiSports) were horrible. The car was basically undriveable, and I can't see how anyone could safely get by doing so. Even AWD cars with summer tires (read: STi, Evo, MS6) drive like complete s***.

i priced around because honestly i'd rather spend my casho-la on other things. I was desperate too. I'd look for winter packages. I saved over $300 going to tire rack than going to a store. They mounted and balanced each wheel free of charge. Shipping wasn't too bad either. I did not opt for tire pressure sensors for the winter so my indicator is on all the time in the dash. I forget its on so it doesn't bother me. I actually wanted steelies but they had a a good deal on some alloys for a few bucks more so I went with those.

I'm sure with research you can find some good deals even if not a package

I'm just looking forward to the next blizzard and another entertaining winter seeing all these Escalades, Tahoes, Lexii/Acks/Benzos/Beeeemas/Caprices with their 22" dubs in ditches along the highways. Big ballaz.

I huggles my Michelin IceX

im stuck on summer tires, my stock rims have 2 good all seasons and the other 2 are going bald and have bulges from all the potholes last winter
