winshield is trashed

:mad: my o2's windshield is bad! i've had many a car and have never has such cheap glass. it is just full of chips and nicks. the sun finally came out here today and man, driving into the light you can hardly see out of it. time for some new glass i guess!! anybody else have this problem?

I've heard so many people say that their windshield has cracked whether it was rock chips or stress crack,, but I have not run into this problem (knock on wood) I've heard many little rocks hit my glass and nothing happened to it/ It seem to me its a manufacturers problem

Took 1.5 years of ownership, and bam replaced it just recently.

If the window is that bad is there any paint left on the front of the car?

My wife drives to school/work down a major interstate that happens to have a huge rock quarry next to it. She says that there are always lots of trucks dropping incredible amounts of gravel all the time. When I do weekly oil/underhood checks it always looks like someone dumped a bucket of sand under the hood. No (crossing fingers) rock chips in the windshield yet.

prolly too much. We have thin paint, and some weak windshields. It seems to be different on every car

i had a new grille painted and the engine cover, i also had the side molding removed $550!

thanks man! i like it too! wasn't sure about the mazda emblem but i like the way it came out

don't wanna thread jack it too much but is that just a painted emblem or is that one of the EL lined ones from Dexter? and is that a DGM cover just painted?

no prob! it's a emblem painted with caliper paint, and it a DGM fiberglass cover painted the color of the car (of course)

Yeah, the stock glass does get pitted pretty easy... I don' tknow how to fix that... maybe one can take an orbital polisher thingy to it? I recall some companies were selling a "glass polish" for that kind of application.

On the other hand, I had mine replaced (got broken in a Maine hotel parking lot, thank god for $0 glass deductible) and the new one isn't much better.

Nope. Goin' on 3 years of ownership. No glass probelms whatsoever. Now the hood is a different story.

A peice of Ice hit my windshield and it broke as well, that was last winter, still have not replaced it..lol... said i would wait ti spring and still have not got around to it...lol
