Windy Windy Day at track. 15.0@94

Went down to Beech Bend Raceway in Bowling Green, Ky today for some 1/4 mile action.
The track was facing a 25mph headwind, but it was the right weather other wise, 58 degrees, and sunny.

It was opening day, and pretty busy, so i only got 4 runs, and only one worth talking about.
The track was pretty cold, and so were my tires, so lets just say i had no traction, and get it over with.

1st run
15.037 @ 94.64mph
2.581 60ft(terrible!!)
9.90 @ 77.39 1/8th

2nd Run wasnt recorded correctly by the track, but apparently i ran a 9.992 @ 27.35mph 1/8th and a.....

7.608 @ 0 mph 1/4!! FASTEST MSP EVAR!! (evil)

Joking aside i was mad, because i had the best launch of the day, and shifted perfectly, it was definately a mid/high 14 pass, but i guess we'll never know.

3rd run.. missed 2nd gear, let off, coasted.

4th.
15.3 @82.
2.7 60 ft
9.98 @ 77.83 1/8th

I let out in 3rd...

Only real positive of the day was that i was trapping 3mph faster in the 1/8th than last summer, and out trapping an 01 Teg type R that walks me on the highway.

Mods are 11psi, custom CAI, hard pipes, HKS BOV, AWR front motor mount.

I was hell bent on a 14 sec timeslip and left empty handed... :sad:

That's weird. I did 14.3 @ 99mph with only a short-ram intake, 11psi, and Joe's FPR. ET aside, you should be trapping much higher.

Yea, i think my 2nd run was a 14.8 or so, at about 96-98mph.
But who knows..
That 25mph headwind was probably alot of it. Everyone was running bad times today, the track announcers said several times the wind was a major problem.


Also, Louisville is now the home of the Fastest SRT-4 In the US as of this time.
12.01 @ 117.. 125 shot, slicks, 17psi.
He was looking for 11s and shoulda had them but that damn wind!

werd. then i might have hit 80mph in the 1/8th, and brought home that 14 sec slip.

Im ordering azeni sports, and getting a catless midpipe before i go back.
So i should have more traction, and better top end.
Looking for a 14.1 @ 102 on the new setup.

All I can say is I ran (more than once), a 14.67 @ 97 with 8psi and spraying my Co2.
Of course elevation and temp. has a big factor also.

I am going to the track Apirl 2nd. I am still stock and hoping to pull at least a 15.2. I live in FL so the conditions will be pretty nice around that time. But with the mods you have you should have definetly gotten in to 14s. That wind must have been killer.

yea.. but.. ur not stock.

i was suggesting you had a very low trap speed for a good time in a stock MSP. 15.3 @ 77 suggests a really hard low end pull then coasting, which stock, i dont see happening.
I ran a 15.3 @ 82, but i let off in 3rd gear and coasted down the last 1/4 of the track.
If id kept pulling, it probably would have been a 14 sec run...
