Will test the extnd warranty on tires

My wife drove through a pot hole and blew out one of the tires on the sidewall. The follies of having 20" rims. I will call the extended protection people tomorrow and see what the process is to get a new tire or compensated for one. The rim doesn't look damaged though.

Anyone know what the process is?

worked out better than I hoped. took the blown out tire/wheel to a local dealer (different place than where I bought my 9) and the mgr of the repair dept got the approval for the full cost of the blown dueler tire $260. After I got the approval, the mgr ordered a pair of Scorpion STRs to replace the blown tire. Who would believe that the cost of a new pair of STRs was almost equal to a single BF dueler?

Final result? The extended warranty covered the cost of the blown tire and I got a new pair of new Scorpion STRs. I imagine if I had cracked the rim, the warranty would have covered that too. So far the extended warranty was not such a bad investment.
