Will small subs fit under front seats?

Has anyone ever tried this?

I dont want much bass, just enuf to fill in the bottom end BUT i dont want to loose any hatch space either.

I was thinking a small pair of 8's or 10's. the shallow mount ones under each front seat and hide an amp in the dash.

Plus the fact that your sitting on the sub would probally make it feel/sound like a louder system then it is.

I doubt you'll find room for an amp in the dash unless you gave up your glove box or it was really really small. I'm sure you could fit a very shallow 8" sub under the front seats...but an ordinary 8" won't fit. Just measure it and check against mounting depths of the subs you are interested in.

Pioneer has a shallow mount 10 that only needs .3 cubic feet.....That might be doable.

the best thing, if you don't ride w/passengers is get a Bazooka tube or just be very careful w/a sub behind you, all it is, is two wire to disconnect when theres a passenger back there

I would stick with a stock stereo before installing a Bazooka tube. I would sacrifice a little area elsewhere and get a good sounding setup, instead of something you won't be happy with that doesn't take up any space.

I had one of the little Powered sub units from Kenwood in the Honda. Mounted it where the spare tire was, so it might fit under an MS3 seat. Pioneer and Clarion also make similar units.

Or if you want to go budget, you can go the Home Theater route and pick up some Aura Pro Bass Shakers, and hook them up to a very small amp, which would also fit under the seat. This would take up the least amount of space in your car.

if you looking for just little bass I would go with two shallow mount 8's and mount them in the rear doors they make baffles for them at crutchfield.com and can also find baffles on EBAY. then you will have room to mount a small amp like a memphis under your passanger seat.
