Nice job. I imagine you probably saved a pretty large chunk of money by getting that fixed on your own instead of at a dealer.

For sure. The labor alone would have been a couple hundred not to mention the parts and the time it would have taken to figure it out.

Not sure what the cause as I have done nothing that would affect the electrical system. Hopefully it was just a faulty part.

Looks like there’re 2 part numbers for RBCM and which one did you get?

A while ago a member from Russia did component repair on his burned-out RBCM. Really impressed!

I damaged my RBCM in the process of installation of additional LEDs. I didn't unplug the battery...(burn) and the mosfet Q15 was burned. There are two variants of such MOSFETs: SOT23-6 (replacement ZXMN6A08E6) and SC-62(replacement 2sk3065).

Looked up the BCM cost on-line out of curiosity. There is a range from $137.76 to $240.14 for OEM.
