Will I get a warning message with aftermarket gauges?

I am wondering if I remove my oil pressure sending unit (to connect my aftermarket gauge) will I get a warning message. If yes, is there a way around that? Same questions for a coolant temp gauge.

As N7turbo suggested, use your favorite gauge app with a OBDii adapter. Display any of the 100's of PID's you want.

What's not accurate with OBD readings? They report the car's own sensor values.

The sensors can be wrong.

Why don't you just disconnect the sensors and see what happens? Even if you don't get warning messages your engine isn't going to run properly without the ECU knowing the coolant temperature.
