will evo or sti wheels fit an MSP?

So far I have found that all three, the MSP, EVO and STI all have 5x114.3 lug pattern and ride on 17" wheels.

I was thinking about trying to find an extra set of wheels and tires for track days. I know the EVO MR and STI come with light forged alloys and supersticky tires, so finding a set should be more cost effective than buying new wheels and tires.

my concern is fitment. I know a lot are running 225's with no problem but 235's may be too much. also what about the 8" wide wheel? I have seen pics of a P5 with STI BBS wheels and it looks pretty tight.

here is what I know correct me if I am wrong

MSP 17x7 + 40 215/45-17
EVO 17x? + ? 235/45-17
STI 17x8 + 53 225/45-17

sti might fit, the 05 model since 04 is 4x100. EVO offset is like 35mm, its not gonna fit.

yes but the BBS STi wheels normally go for over 1k easily unless you can find some worn out ones.

if the rims are 8" wide they will not fit, you will have to use spacers so they wont rub the struts, and when you use the spacers the tires rub the fenders, bad... i tried using my FD's on my MSP and it just wasn't gonna happen, the fronts fit alright with the spacers but the rears rubbed every time the suspension compressed the least little bit... and that is with 16" rims, 17" rims would be even worse...

and judging from how people seem to be pricing their MSP racing harts as of late, you will be able to get a set of brand new lightweight 17's with tires for cheaper than trying to find STi rims/tires in good shape... i just got some rev model 6's for like 550 shipped, a set of fuzion ZRi's is like 300, and someone already posted that a set of STi rims will probably cost upwards of 1000 bucks... i'd just watch the group buy forum for another wheel thread...
