Will a 2Rotor Motor from an RX-7 fit in my 06 2.0 Mazda3?

Do you mean just the engine case, or with all accessories? Rotaries are pretty small, so I'm sure you could load one into the trunk and even have room for all the accessory parts, as long as they are disassembled from the engine.

That's what you meant, right?

Is a 2-rotor motor the same thing as a 2-rotor wankel? This is important.

i mean i want to swap engines take the 2.0 L4 out and rotary 2 from the rx-7 in what i need to know is if the engine from the rx-7 will fit in were the current engine is sitting

Your going to do a rwd transformation ?!??
R2 has low engine mounts new mounts must be made.
Contact rotary direct for custom mount info. quite sure they can help

My first reply was facetious, but I guess that whooshed.

To put it nicely, when asking an internet forum "Will a 2Rotor Motor from an RX-7 fit in my 06 2.0 Mazda3?", the answer is a complete and resounding "No."

If you put that question to the kind of shop that would actually be able to make it happen, the answer would be "Do you have $10k for a deposit?"

Whether the engine will physically fit in the engine bay is pretty much the least concern, so the fact that you're asking that first means you haven't got a clue what you're asking. Just being straight.

It can be done. People have done FWD rotary's in builds before. But it really comes down to Do You have the skill and tools to do it? ;)

May I suggest a 2.3 disi turbo engine with a compression of 9.5.1 swap with 6spd trans from a mazdaspeed③
It will give you loads of power, realibility and the cost would be alot less. GL

Using a n/a MZR and then just turbo'ing that would be ALOT easier to tune. Quite a few of the MS guys have actually done the swap even just because the DISI'S are such a pain to tune.
