because the MSP and regular protege's use a FS-DE 2.0L engine, while the 4 cylinder Mazda 6 used VVT MZR type engines, whiched ranged in size from 1.4L to 2.3Lrainmen said:lol, thx guys. k, one other question then. on the gt-spec website there is a header for the 2.0 and 2.3 header. i called em and they said it is for either or, u ugys know why this one would fit but the one i mentioned above wouldnt?

i love it when people say the obx is cheap looking - then i click this and smile. the fact that the seller spouts off claims of JDM SUPER is bs enough. the welds look very thin, i am guessing the pipes are as well and the guy has a few complaints on poor flange fitment in his feedback.sephiroth said:$99 (not including shipping)

I'm wondering if that acutaly will fit.. I thought he was talking about a FS-DE headder for a 2.0L protege, but he acutaly could have really meant what he said: headders for a 2.0L MZR Mazda 6. They look the same as the 2.3L Mazda 6's headders.. I'd say give it a try.
the saying goes; you get what you pay for..ms64meplease said:what are you a welder...lol the welds only have to be 1/3 the thickness of material. there not bad lookin i wouldnt buy it unless i was ready to modify it to fit right.lol

ms64meplease said:hell its missing the most important thing on there its cheap i gotta give it that too. but hey its JDM people will buy it because of that alone why i have no idea its made in china not japan possible mexico though
ms64meplease said:well yeah its a good price but then you gotta lotta work ahead so i would say no to it i weld for a living i make alot of custom parts for cars on the side when i have the time and if it came down to wanting this header i know you will be having it fixed every year or less... its really up to you its a good price but if your not a welder that can repair it i would say dont do it
u know, im thinkin that it does. i mean i know you cant go off looks alone. but it looks the dang same. when i e-mailed the company from ebay the guy didnt clarify if it would fit it or not. probably doesnt know.ro4fd said:we have the same question over at mazda6 club. com
