Where are you guys putting this thing?
Its going to be a real b**** to get it all in my MP3 pocket but I am trying none the less.
If it just won't go then I am just going to make my own Dash kit face for it all.

I plan on putting the display in my pocket...should fit fine. I guess I'll throw the driver under the hood somewhere. 1st-what power wires and ground points are you using?

Power wise I am just going to use a tap from the cigerette lighter or maybe the ac, it only needs 3 amps.
Ground wise, the dash support sysyem is all very well grounded so I am just going to tap a screw into that.
My issues is trying to fit the boost guage, fual guage and wideband display all in the dash pocket.

Terry, is it ok to cut and then reattach the wires on the displays wiring clip?

Once tough the fire wall I am going to solder them back together.

Noway I am making a big enough hole for the clip to go through the fire wall but as long as they wires aren't a strange case being a certain impeance or something then I don't see and issue.

Just pull out the firewall gromet boot, and cut a slit in it. That's how I got my connector thru. I accually put my WBO2 driver under, and behind the cup holders below the stereo.

I wanted to keep it up high to stay in my field of vision, plus be 100% steth when I am away from the car. My new thought it to make a holder untop of the dash like in the subarus.

As for cutting the grommet, which one? I already have to much going through the damn firewall with the neon and audio crap.

Same here, that's why I pulled it out, and cut a slot for new stuff, and just stuff it back into the hole, and apply a little RTV for a quick and dirty seal.:D

Any way you can provide pics of which wires you're looking into or at least tell me how to get to them?

So just any bare metal in the center of the dash will do?

Yeah, I was thinking about this problem as well...

The AC controls have a very large power tapped to the ignition circuit. It is on the white clip in the middle and is Blue/white.
You can also use the ground lead which is right next to it and is a large black wire. You need to take off the center dash peice to get to them. Its just pop clips so simply pull the b**** off. Don't break it though :D.

Yes the center dash support metal is fine and was all but 0 ohms on my multimeter so its good.

Just my luck...my sensor doesn't fit in my O2 bung because the hole that's in the pipe wasn't drilled fat enough. :-(

Sorry to hear about the bum luck. . .keep us posted and show pics or give us install clues. . .I'll be doing this shortly!

Well, no way in hell to fit 2 guages and the wide band in the pocket, DAMN!

SO I gutted the ash tray and flush mounted the wideband in there. the other 2 guages are going into the pocket :D.

thats where i was gonna put mine too, but we will see
maybe just lean it against the stock gauges or put it next to the ignition key hole...dont know, still looking...

what about our widebands terry???? when are they coming out, and do i owe you money??? i honestly dont know...let me know

KeoLa

Ok, got my sensor installed last night by taking off tHE GDDAMN DOWNPIPE AND BORING OUT THE HOLE </anger>.

Despite Terry's reccomended 12:1 FMU, I immediately stepped my FMU down to a 10:1 once the kit was installed.

Off boost, I'm usually stoich. But sometimes in 5th gear cruising, I'll stay in the 13's @ 10Hg or so.

On Boost...I frequently see 12s...11s...10s...and "ER L" (error low) since I run RICHER than 10:1 at times. Looks like I'll be recalibrating my FMU for 8:1 in the near future, and maybe even a 6:1 if I'm still very rich.

where the hell is terry man....i know hes moving but damn!!!! hehehehe, just playing, wanting to know when the rest of us group buyers are gonna be getting ours.....laters
