WIDEBAND Groupbuy

I would jump all over this one but unfortunately I have a chunk of change tied up right now. Bad thing for me but good thing for Terry, all that change is going to HIM!!! ;)

Dave

are there any buttons or anything that would need to be acessed, or is it just a screen. could it be placed it the pocket below the headunit?

Terry you got a close up pic of the display screen?

also will i be able to hook this up before i get my turbo?? or do i need a new o2 bung or can i just remove the stock one and put this one in?

Yeah thats it. Its a fairly small unit.
We still need 4 people in on this and shipping is free to:)
You need to drill a hole in the downpipe or exhaust and mount it. Yes you can run it on an N/A car as well:)

Does that mean you're in paulmp3?

Thanks for the link, you found it for me. I just want to "know" what A/F I'm at and be done with all the worrying. Time to party.

what is the price of these units when not in this special offer for I feel my next mods will most likely be clutch...then either a wideband o2 sensor..or a flywheel

okay terry, i think im in, what else do you think imma need? im planning on buying the microtech, forged rods and pistons, and hopefully in the near future i wanna run nos!! please let me know what im going to need if its by email or on this site...maybe there are other people that want to do this, but im almost positive that i want to be bo0sting 10-15lbs and have a wet nos system. thanks man

whats teh running rate on the forged rod's and pistons..and is that all you would need to be able to run higher boost...or is the tranny still the weak link

Tranny is still weaker in the long run. Random question: Does the unit have data logging? And any chance of the display coming in a different color?

Well anyway, looks like we got our four...

1-Beavis
2-Kooldino
3-Perfworks
4-duMb KeoLa
5-maybe even Paul??

Question about the wideband...when I'm at partial throttle, is the Air/Fuel ratio gonna stay at a certain number basically? Or is it gonna jump around constantly (assuming i stay at the same throttle position).

at partial throttle and steady throttle position it will maintain NO LOAD status and the PCM will want to go to around stoich. again only if there is a steady throttle with no change , like at cruising highway speeds. if the boost gauge reads atmospheric then the A/F will read stoich ( no throttle change only)

If someone can simply tell me how it must be installed then I am in also.

You need to weld in a bung in the Downpipe and mount it close to th eturbine. Then its just a matter of wiring in 5 wires. Let me know if you want in so we can get this thing going:)

First some more questions.

How does this wide band 02 compare in quality and performance compared to others?
Have you guys used this wide band before or is it new to you?
Will it cuase a CEL?
Does it replace the factory 02?

Sorry for the questions but I am getting sick of suprises with new equipment.

By the way i hope those spark plugs were supposed to be gapped to .027. Becuase thats what they were and there installed now. :D

I gapped yours to .030:confused:

I have this unit in my car and to put it nicely its daa shiiit!
Best investment you can make on a turbo car:)
I have used a motec before and this is right on par with it. It does not replace the factory 02. So it has nothing to do with your ecu. Again this device is simply amazing and accurate. It gives measurments on the fly and is lightning quick. I rarely rave about something but this is worth raving about. You will be happy with this investment

I plan on installing mine in my downpipe where my primary O2 sensor is now...and then moving my primary O2 to the bung where my secondary O2 is NOW, and moving the secondary O2 into a new bung behind the cat.

sounds good, I'm in too.

For the gap I just moved the ga measurer until it hit resistance I did not in any way force it in more. So if that is the proper way to measure a plug then, ah, Sure.
