It needs an inertial damper.

Do you have the power Easy Close Sliding Door feature on your 5? Day one I showed my wife that she just has to lightly tug the door closed with just enough power that it almost reaches the closed position and the feature does the rest of the work, and she always does it because she thinks it's really cool. lol.

*thanks his stars that he has dual power sliding doors*

I don't let my kids touch my doors, I open and close with a button both of them for them. (shady) oh sorry to gloat. (smoke)

Sorry to hear of that, hope it can be fixed.

peace. (rei)

SGT,

How 'loose' is your motorized door with the motor turned off? Does it slide freely by itself with the slightest push? It looks like we have a similar door but in our case, the motor is absent. No motor, means nothing slowing down the door as it speeds up towards the pillars.

None, zero, nada, it's power sliding WITH or WITHOUT the key turned on. ;)

Correct, it's all motor driven, all you have to do is touch the remote button, or pull the door handle (inside or out) a TINY BIT and let go.

..... Wheeee auto close all the way and it's super tight!! ;)

HOWEVER, the car lot told me... IT'S NOT KID FRIENDLY and MOST LIKELY WHY IT'S NOT OFFERED IN THE USA, just my .02 worth; please don't bit my head off, PLEASE. (flash)

Absolutely positively correct, sir. Sorry to gloat, but this is 1/3 why I got the Premacy / Mazda 5.

No motor, means nothing slowing down the door as it speeds up towards the pillars.

Absolutely positively correct, sir, and i bet they really FLY on a downhill huh? (nervous)

Peace!(rei)
