yea i did plugs and wires and distibuter caps and it still ran bad...
1.to get to the EGR you will need a phillips screwdriver, a ratchet set(make sure its metric!) and brake cleaner for the carbon build-up.
2.first you need to remove the intake hose(between your throttle body and the airbox) just simply unplug all the sensors(two i believe, but not sure).
3.then if you look under the throttle body you will see two bolts; its kinda tight, so if you have larger hands expect slightly scraped knuckles. After you have removed the bolts be careful not to lose the thin metal gasket between the valve and the engine* (*for lack of better word)
4. Once the EGR is off you need to unscrew the four screws holding the spring and valve together(be careful the screws are soft)
5.put a drop of oil on the spring and spray and scrape the sh** out of the holes-use a whole can if you need to!
6.reasemble the EGR and bolt back on-dont forget the metal gasket.
7.put the intake hose back on and reconnect the sensors, then disconect negative side of the battery and pump the brakes 6-10 times-this resets all the sensors
8. reconnect the battery and start her up!
total cost is about $2.50 for the brake cleaner,oh yea its easiest when engine is cool so you dont burn yourself- Good Luck!(cheers2)
