I own a Mazda 626 GT Turbo and was disapointed when they stop turbo charging their piston cars. Then they brought it back via the MSP and I was excited again but it was more than what I wanted to spend. So one day my wife saw a Spicy and fell in love with the color. I saw a good deal for $18000 New and we traded in her Corolla and after 5 outtings learning to drive stick on my Escort GT she was ready to drive the MSP. It's not the fastest car but fun to drive and unique especially being Spicy Orange.
my buddy had a mp3 and let me drive it around for lunch and all that(he was my boss) and i loved it, he told me about the msp and i thought it was pretty cool, few months later i drove past a dealersihp and saw one there and test drove it and took it home that night, had no real intesion of getting one but i couldnt resist it

My first car was the 1st Gen 94' Protege 1.8L and prior to purchasing the MSP I owned a 94' Mazda MX-6 V-6 that hauled ass. This is were my love for Mazda's started. Unfortunately the MX-6 had various electrical and engine deficiencies that was beyond repairing so I purchased the MSP for a little under $18,000. right out the show room.
I had three different hondas and three different headaches. Finally after my last disaster my friends basically told me they would kill me if i bought another honda/acura. And one night on craigslist we found an msp. I had never known that mazda had a turboed protege after looking at the car for a couple minutes i called the guy and just like that me and three friends drove to Conneticut that night and bought the car and drove it all the way back to central jersey at 1:30 in the morning.
Mazda had killer deals on 03 models in 04. Went to see the Protege 5, test drove it and found it reaaaaaaaaaally slow. Then saw the Speed, took it for a spin and loved it. 0% interest rate helped too. No regrets, but some disappointment on the lack of reliability of the added components.
