Quite a few I see there for around $12000 CAD ($9500 USD). What's with that? Extremely hard to find one around here for $15000 from a private seller, let alone dealer. Too bad I live as far away from Quebec as possible.

probably because of supply and demand.. economics man... high school stuff. more supply and less demand = price drop. and vice versa. probably why.

Shoot 9500$! I might have to fly up to Quebec and pick up a couple! Beats paying 17000$ like I did for mine!

HAHA! i was soooo close to having my cousin pick one up for me, i found it online and it was perfect (and cheap!) i asked her to pick it up and just keep it until my bridal shower next month (which i actually shouldnt know about) but i fould one local so....

One word, RUST. Quebec (and Ontario less so, but not much less) uses salt heavily in the winter months. After just one year, the bolts on the engine and heat shield will be rusting. Stay far, far away from eastern Canadian cars if you can.

Oh man I didnt even think about that. My car is already rusting out in the engine bay and I have never even driven over salty roads or anywhere that there would even be a lot of salt in the air (like near oceans).

Plus the roads in Quebec are pretty banged up.

My uncle is a mechanic in Montreal. Audi's constantly need new entire front suspension replacements b/c of this.

Not worth it.

Hmm, you're right, that's true. Here in Vancouver we're next to the sea and we do get one or two salted months per year but probably nothing compared to the beating cars get over there. Hard to find one of these things for cheap around here.

But my guess is that it's not as beat up by the roads those. I've never been to Vancouver so I don't know the road conditions.
