Why a brake upgrade won't stop the car faster

Because even when you have Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 Plus—one of the best street tires you can buy—you can still lay down 10 feet of rubber with factory brakes.

Now imagine repeating this on the OEM tires.

The rabbits here have a death wish. All of them. Fortunately for them and my car, none were harmed.

I was going 30-35 mph when I hit the brakes. The temperature is 25°F.

Seems like the ABS would have prevented wheel lockup on all wheels, wonder why that one wheel locked up?
I have no idea. I heard tire sounds from the driver's side and the rabbit was under the car by the time the car was down to 5mph. I had to turn around and go back to see if I actually hit the damn thing. Thankfully all I found was this.

I don't think it was 100% locked though. There was just enough braking force to put the tire under stress.
