Who's running what downpipe setup? Racepipe? Testpipe?

So in my learning on this site, I'm sold on the TIP. I'll be ordering the Cobb. I'm on the fence on a new BPV, I'd go Forge if I did, but I think it can wait. I'll probably get the new Cobb AP as well.

Who is running what downpipe setup? And of course why? And what if anything do you not like about it?

I have seen contrary opinions. Don't get a full DP, just get a test pipe. Or get the racepipe. My concerns on that are sufficient backpressure if you delete that second cat. I think I'd be fine with a full DP with 2 hiflow cats. But if lots of guys are doing something else..........

The corksport racepipe looked interesting.

ETA: Concerned about noise as well. Testpipe seems like it's loud. I don't need ridiculous noise. Plus throwing codes.

I have the stock downpipe with an SLS stainless steel test pipe eliminating the 2nd cat... stock exhaust the rest of the way out. This test pipe is a slightly louder piece of pipe (because of a slightly different material and material thickness). It's pretty much unnoticeable unless you put your head next to the bottom of the door. At the tailpipes it makes the exhaust a little sharper, and overall there's a little more rumble to the car.

There is no problem with backpressure. I was skeptical about it as well, but have since learned that the turbo holds most of this engine's backpressure. Power gains were rather substantial even with stock programming on 93 octane. This is probably the most noticeable gain of any mod I've done to this point. Your butt dyno actually will feel a considerable difference... all for $120.

I would not recommend the SLS pipe though. I would recommend picking one up from a different manufacturer. The reason I say that is I as well as others have had one hell of a time getting it to seal up completely. The flanged end does not seem to be beveled enough to allow a full pivot on the donut gasket unless there is absolutely perfect alignment.

I haven't had any CEL's and I did reset the ECU after installation.

Hope you find this information useful!

I'd like to see some more responses please!!

Let me know if you aren't running one as well. Hearing your opinion on how stock pipe does with other mods is helpful too.
