Who's running rich? Not me!!!!!

AWD...say Bye Bye
:
Titanium MS6
Well this is the latest fabrication I've made for the msp...hehe can we guess what it is/does? Hints are in the pics...oh disregard the #s on the gauge...the correct one hasn't arrived yet...and yes I'm aware my car is dirty and one of me gauges are crooked...

skater you're very very close...whats your thinking of is a pressure regulator which only stops the pressure from going past a certain point....this does something different...

You figured out the top-secret Mazda ECU language and your device is a hardware defeat module which lets you adjust the program:

IF MSP$ <> RunSmooth
=Limit AF(1)
=Check ValvePoint AF(0) - 3&
MSP$ CheckValuePoint (1)

OK

Close?

hmm can't have a program with an If statement without having a then statement directly following...programming 101...and = usually dont start command lines...
but at any rate the device will be installed rather shortly, and after a dyno run I will display the results, which fingers crossed with show a perfect a/f value all the way thru the power band...

Is it a valve for a nitrous tank hooked to a mask that makes you think that your car is running perfect when you are really just stoned out of your mind ;)? J/K, but really, what does it do? Considering that it has a pressure gauge for very high PSI readings, it's not for manifold pressure. At first I thought it was a trick for the FPR, but now I don't. It can't be a fuel pressure regulator because it could only increase the pressure...

Not all languages require a Then statement ;) (it's implied)

yea i thought about that after I typed it...hehe thought no one would notice though...well as indicated before the gauge is purely cosmetic, until the correct psi gauge arrives...merely plugs the hole...I'll go ahead and let the cat out of the bag...its a variable pressure fpr..will allow me to adjust the amout of fule for boost...in laymans terms a modified adjustable bleeder valve for the solenoid controlling fuel pressure....came up with the idea one night while looking over parts for my old DSM...ran it by Joe P and he said he was using the same idea a while back...Going to the track this friday so I should be able to run with regular fuel, and then with the vavle set...im rather interested to see how much of a performance gain it gives...I know in my GSX I gained 10whp and an avg of .1 off my 1/4 time(varied between a 12.87 and a 13.2 leaning out and 13.08-13.5 without SAFC) when i leaned out my setup with an SAFC, so hopefully i'll get good results...

Is it really any different than the one that Joe P. made? I was using his until I flashed my ECU. The combintation of advanced timing from the flash, 8.5 psi boost, and the leaner mixture from the Joe P. FPR made me nervous.

mine is different b/c its adjustable, so I can adjust how much boost i bleed off..using you as an example you could adjust it to bleed off less air if the leaner conditions were making you nervous. For me I'm still too rich so I need to adjust it to bleed off more boost...This allows you to adjust the bleeding to whatever you need for your particular setup. I'll be running it with exhaust, intake, fcd, and 12psi and a flashed ecu...so my setup will allow you to run the joep fpr at pretty much any psi...in no way am I suggesting you not use the joep fpr, I'm simply saying this allows it to be adjustable. Ive talked with joe about this a few times and hes been really really helpful.
