LOL... I'm not sure what we're talking about anymore... The 2.3l 3 is capable of 7.4 seconds 0 - 60mph... Maybe he has really short and stubby legs...

never said it was good..im just saying its not 15
dude we are talking about quarter miles times.

this is a diagram showing the relationship between where this discussion is and you are in terms of cluelessness

-----------------> TOPIC & the rest of the intelligent people in this thread

-----------------> you.

you didnt win against any of those cars.

ps: bring it to the track please, then talk.

Just when you think you've come already met the dumbest person on the Internet.(doh)

im talking about drag 0-60 in 10 seconds
hahaha well my 91 honda accord lx does 0-60 in 12, and its an automatic. And i am proud to say, thats horrible. If the mazda3 was doing 10 0-60's there is no way in hell it could ever beat any of those cars

No, wait seriously, I did 0-60 in 4.2 seconds with my new Mazda 3 timed at the TRACK in Homestead Florida!!! (nana)

Wait, oh, your talking about 0-60 miles an hour? I thought you meant how fast I got from 0-60 feet! I guess I'm the stupidest person on the internet!!

(evil)

I raced a 2000 Si tonight and stomped on him several times. He just kept coming back for more lol. Then finally when I got off at the exit he pulled up next to me and was like "Is that turbo, its friggin sweet" Needless to say I was pretty happy. We did 3rd gear pulls and I took him by 3-4 cars, but I didn't go that fast and only made it partway through 4th gear. It was pretty modded too and he still looked like he wasn't trying :)

Heh heh, this is an amusing thread. 'Kill' stories are always funny to read, especially when they don't quite add up. Impromptu street battles often involve one driver who is really trying and one who is only sort of trying. That's how slower cars 'beat' faster ones, and one car seemingly 'destroys' another equal vehicle.
Equally funny is the impassioned 'you're full of crap' mudslinging that goes on with such posts. After all, we're talking about cars that do the 1/4 in the mid fifteens here, hardly ripping up asphalt.

the gsp eh? i have a msp and i raced there several times.. nissan sentra se-r (dunno if it was spec-v), modded wrx, maxima, is300, gti.. im pretty sure all of those cars were modded,.. my friends said they saw fire in the exhaust when that thing shifted.. the rex was the quickest thing in the world.. even if it was like a 50mph roll it took off and had like 5 cars on me in liek 2 seconds.. so damn fast..

I'm a newbie here...looking at stuff for my wife's new 3s....normally I wouldn't comment on race times....but I just had to ask, is your msp stock?

If so, what year maxima is it that you beat, exactly?

Just asking, because in my 2000 maxima (with intake and y-pipe only engine/exahust mods) I can easily take my wife's 3s, and have only lost at the track once to a msp (and he was modded to the max, blowing high psi)....stock msp will not beat any 5-gen maxima (2k-2k3) 5-speed. 2k-2k1 maxima has the VQ30 but the 2k2-3 maxima with the VQ35 will absolutely destroy a msp.

and in the high end a 5th-gen max will kill a msp no problem. My wife's 3s and my brothers msp are both fun cars to drive, no doubt. but there's no replacement for displacement.....

oh...and if the WRX beat you then the maxima would have beat you. A stock VQ35 maxima beats a stock WRX by 2 carlengths in the quarter.

i beat my friends altima, stock though. 3.5se

track or street?
last time at the track a bone-stock 3.5 Alti was running low to mid 14's. btw manual not autotragic.

I am assuming you are pretty modded if you are beating a 3.5 Alti, even a stock one, unless he is both an automatic and a bad driver....

what are you running?

matthew...

nevermind...I saw on your cardomain site what you are running...

what do you run....mid-high 13's?
You can definitely beat a stock max or alti....no problem. My max puts down about 200 to the wheels and weighs alot more than your whip.

not likely you can beat my boy's Turbo 2k1 max pushin 370 to the wheels....damn it must be nice for him (and you) with that turbo...

yea its nice im no where near 370 lol. i go to the dyno next weekend hopefully, though i may not go...im waiting for this mpi tuner so i can tune my car and i would hate to go to the dyno and dyno like 190whp or something then gain like 20whp after tuning etc. but i figure im around 200whp some where. beau from MAMotorsports doesnt have quite the same setup but at 6psi he has dynoed as high as 189whp. so 2 more psi i figure i should be close to 200.

Dude... I respect the Maxima for what it is... You're proally right about being able to beat a stock MSP... but lets face it... The 3, and the Protege were never really meant to be fast straighline cars... Drag racing's fun... but most of it is in the numbers... A 170hp car won't beat a 255hp car (i know the max is heavier, but still, generally) unless the 255hp guy can't drive... I bet the Maxima coulnd't pace a P5 on track.

BTW... who said they beat a 3.5 Altima Stock??? They're faster than the top of the line Maxima... I doubt you beat this guy... even if he was running auto, there's only like a half sec difference 0-60...

BTW... has anyone calculated the physics for something like that? Lets say a car takes 9s to hit 100kph... and another car takes 9.5s. How much further behind will the 9.5s car be when the first car hits 100kph? BTW... 100kph is 27.7m/s if anyone really wants to work this out.
