We buy from them too. Boris did our Deathstalker, Amazons, and Barbarian Queen films. Because both Boris and Julie are bodybuilders as well as artists, their figures all have intensely muscular anatomies. They focus more on physical form than anything else. They portray men like they're superhuman "gods" while women, while physically strong, are inferior to their male counterparts.
The thing I like about Royo's women is that their strength is not always on a physical level. Their outward fierceness belies their vulnerability, inner suffering, and sorrow. If ever they are brandishing knives or colossal guns, it is only because they have been driven to that end by tragic and monumental disasters. His women are more intriguing, complex, and are able to draw sympathy from almost any viewer.
Keep in mind though, that these artists have different specialties, too. Boris and Julie do more hero fantasy and Royo does horror fantasy.
