Ok, I do NOT own a MSP *YET*, but, I will be buying one because most of the knowledge I got from building my Probe GT is applicable in many ways.
Stick with what you know right?
OK, well, I shredded the trans in my PGT a while back, and have seen many others shred them.
Well, what I want to know is, who has actually used the GTX gears? I am about to buy a set, but, I want to KNOW someone who can say they have used them after shredding a set of stock 3rds and can honestly say they have had NO such problems after swapping to the GTX gears..
One thing I KNOW makes the gtx gears stronger is that they have a different ratio which allows a slightly wider gear tooth root which adds quite a bit of strength. I looked into it and it turns out that for every x percentage of width and root you get a fairly substantial gain in power handling in the gear.
Right now, PGT third is 1.31, gtx is 1.21, pgt fourth is 1.7, gtx is 1.2. pgt fifth is .795, gtx is .8... This will allow for bigger gear teeth roots...
But, i want to KNOW, who is using them and what is your experiences?
