What a coincidence!

I had an asshat in an M3 do the same thing to me about a week ago. I just got a speeding ticket a month ago, so I wasn't going to play with him (not that I think I would have had any chance in hell). (yupnope)
I notice people with BMWs think they are holy.

sorry to miss your point, but I agree its not often you come across someon that realy knows what there doing, a fast car is a waste if you cant drive it

Yeah tell me about it I get every moron with a fart pipe as soon as I leave the drive way. I've beaten a civic ex, civic si,integra <--- got $50 from him....this POS neon,...but yeah it is annoying at times

and a 88 ish sentra today with turbo running 8 psi and a jspec motor all he kept saying was his car was capable of 22lbs boost.

with all the fancyness on paper. the Vspec kinda sucks....

Cant recall some from a while ago, but recently I beat my friends jetta 1.8T and i beat a Jetta VR6. the VR6 was an automatic. Of course I have taken a few civics to town as well

i agree that the spec-V is a POS i have beeten like 2. Like the BMW owners people in Spec-V's think they are the s*** to. i also raced a 04 Mustang GT he won but it was cool because he only beet me by like a car leingth up to 65 and GT's 0-60 is in the 5.4 range.

I love the P-on's...I meant Neon's...

...they constantly pull up next to me and want to run. By the time we are at 60 MPH they are usually shutting down for obvious reasons... (gtfo)

I own a 3s and had a 2000GT (same motor as 04). The difference in a 1/4 is roughly 2-3 seconds, which by 65 is probaby atleast a seconds difference which would be 10 or so car links at minimum. Good job on it being close but my old 96 6 banger stang would have been farther ahead than 1 car link at 65. If you rewrite it saying it was a v6 convertible automatic with 2 really fat people in the car i will believe it. I love my 3S but I think you had to have raced a rebadged v6 automatic or he wasnt racing. :-)

for the racing RSX-s, the motor doesn't make any power until ~6000rpm, it's as weak as a day old lamb below that. If the driver doesn't shift near redline, he's got squat. Same thing with most Honda motors, power/torque peak in the statosphere. Our 2.3L 3s have fairly good grunt low and midrange, we run out of breath near redline though.

I have an auto, so I'm short a gear, but stoplight to stoplight the 3 is fairly quick. If you get any of the "competition" in the twisties, forget it the 3 can hold higher speed in the corners (mag tested at ~.86g, with real good tires you could get at or better than .90g+) and can power out better, the Honda powered cars need to work hard at the same thing.

I had a guy in an M3 try to race me also, what an idiot. I guess his dick was so small that he felt he had to compensate. ???

I love reading these racing threads. Especially one like this where a 3s (160hp) beats an RSX-S (200hp, 210hp for '05). I always wonder how you know the other car is actually "racing"? Did you ask him to race? Did you stop afterwards and ask him if he was racing? Probably not.

The way I see it the only way a 3 will beat an RSX-S is that,

1. The RSX-S wasn't racing you.
2. The RSX-S wasn't running WOT (which means he wasn't racing you).
3. The RSX-S had a really, really bad driver. Which means if given equal driving skills, the 3 loses.

Even with a bad driver it wouldn't make any sense that a 3 could beat an RSX-S (automatic or not).

Eh, whatever, if you feel that that was a good kill then congrats. It's all about how it makes you feel right? Just venting a little because it's Friday and I want to get out of here.

I raced a RSX-S today and was able to gain 1 car on him he was stock I'm running @ 8psi. Think I should race a 3s now??

With all do respect; I this is dyno racing, if you think about there is a million ways an RSX-S can be racing a 3 and lose, watch professional drag racing you will see a lot of cars that are faster and end up losing for some reason or another, any kind of racing this is true of watch NASCAR or IRL, and a lot of time the fastest car of the day winds up in 3rd place this is racing and its the human element that counts even out in the streets, I was racing an cameo ss and got ahead how? he was missing his 2nd gear, I was raced a prelude si and won how? new driver and a faulty vetch, mechanical problems driver errors, its possible so dont be so quick to scream BS because its not supposed to happen
now if someone come out and says the Mazda 3 is faster than a Cameron SS thats problem BS if its stock, but if a Mazda 3 beats a MSP ask how first before ranting about thats complete BS

When i raced my cousin in his RSX-s we stopped in the middle of the road and lined up and raced. like someone said before the 3 has way better low end torque and the rsx makes all its power near redline.

^ yeah called v-tec.
For racing an M3, there is no way in hell. My friend has one and we took it up to tracks one night, all I remember was looking at his tail-lights all night long....

He ran low 13, me sluggish low/mid 15...

Sentra Spec-V? Doubtful. With minor bolt ons they run 14's. Obviously the driver was horrible. (Unless your boosted)

B13 sentra's are great, if the "jspec" motor your referring to is the bluebird SR20DET, then yes, it can take 22lbs.
